    Aotearoa Fight Directors (AFD) is a non-profit educational organization. Our mission is to promote the art, study, and enjoyment of staged combat. We do so by supporting our members in further developing a standardized education system for stage and screen combat, providing historical research relevant to stage combat, and seeking dialogue and cooperation with other relevant organizations, societies, and individuals. Our vision is to make it simple and safe to tell stories with the illusion of violence.
